Everyone has heard the phrase: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
It’s a statement that means—regardless of what has happened in the past—we have the opportunity to restart, recommit, or totally change every single day.
Today marks an important moment for me. I’m officially retired. That feels good to type! I am no longer shackled to the constraints of working for an employer, and will be refocusing all my energy into my painting career.
Painting is my life's passion. I feel I was born to do it, and I am extremely excited with the prospects of waking every day, and engaging in the practice of making and sharing my art with people. I cannot wait to interact with everyone who has been so supportive over the past several years, and I’m looking forward to getting to know new friends and collectors.
In the coming weeks and months I will have a good deal more art work available for viewing and purchasing online through my website. It is my plan to use my site to provide you greater insight into my work and my process, help you to better understand what motivates me as an artist, and discuss art in general.
My primary goal is to help bring to you the excitement, fascination, joy, and comfort I derive from being an artist. I expect to accomplish this through regularly sharing the art I produce, and putting together a regular blog, and periodic newsletter. The blog and newsletter will serve to keep you informed of projects and works currently underway, as well as events and shows I expect to participate in. These communication forms will also announce special discounts and promotions I may offer from time to time, as well as to share with you other artists and art that I admire and feel you may enjoy as well.
Experts say that every artist has a story to tell, so I would like to invite you to my story. Please join me here on a regular basis as I begin to tell it.
